Kudos & Kindness: Heavenly ended the season on a high note

I would like to take a moment, on behalf of myself and a good number of locals and other pass holders, to thank Heavenly Mountain Resort and its management for three unbelievable days of skiing on the face the weekend of April 20-22.

To my knowledge, the opening of the Gunbarrel Express only, at the Cal base from noon to 4 p.m., is unprecedented and certainly shows an appreciative attitude toward the pass holders at Heavenly.

The staff in place for those three days, to include the groomer, the lift operators and the ski patrol were exceptional. Everyone who enjoyed those awsome spring days of skiing greatly appreciated the effort and owes a huge thanks to Vail Resorts and their folks here at the South Shore.

Heavenly also should be highly commended for its snow making, grooming and the commitment to skiing excellence, which made a great year out of a rather poor snow year.
