Kudos & Kindness: Participants, community made Snowshoe Event a success

The Tahoe Mountain Milers Running Club would like to thank Kris Knox, Kevin Turner, and Mai Dalton for providing the perfect venue at Historic Camp Richardson Resort on Feb. 26 for our Snowshoe Event to benefit the Heavenly Freestyle Team. Even though there was no fresh snow to make a track, they opened the Mountain Sports Center so participants without snowshoes could enjoy the event. The participants hiked through the snow patches and were on the lookout for pink flamingoes. An obstacle course and a relay race were also part of the fun. Participants bought sweatshirts printed at a great discount by Jan Bleiweiss of Tahoe Palms with the proceeds benefiting the Eric Nageotte Memorial Freestyle Fund. Chef David Cotter manned the grill for a post activity barbecue provided by Camp Richardson. Thanks to all the participants for coming out on a beautiful day to enjoy what Tahoe is all about. We are looking forward to February 2013! Pray for snow in 2013!
