Quick response by first responders greatly appreciated

To the Carson City Fire and Sheriff departments:

On Feb. 1, about 11:15 p.m., the fire alarms went off in my apartment complex. This three-story complex is full of disabled residents who need considerable assistance.

The firemen and police responded within a of couple minutes and were quickly fighting the fire, knocking on our doors to notify us what was going on, telling us that the fire was extinguished, and that we were safe.

You responded with sufficient firemen, police, trucks, and ambulances to take care of us efficiently and give us the care we could have needed had the fire been worse.

I would like to publicly thank each and every one of you for your quick response and fast work getting the fire out and calming our fear. It’s nice to know you’re nearby and that you’ll be there.
