KUDOS & KINDNESS: Thank you for bringing Giants trophy

On April 2, the Commissioner’s Trophy made an appearance at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center. The public viewing was a special time for all Giants fans living in the Sierras. The World Champions Tour stop was also special for me, a South Shore local given the opportunity to bring this piece of history home to share with family, friends and neighbors. As a member of the Giants front office, I was extremely pleased with the spirit and excitement of the folks that showed up to pose with the Trophy. All that attended can agree that the event went off without a hitch. For that I want to send giant thanks to a group of people that made this possible. Rusty Hollis and the staff at the Recreation Center were fabulous. They made my job easy. I just had to bring the Trophy. They went above and beyond by decorating the room with orange and black streamers and balloons. Tom Davis was instrumental in scheduling the visit, publicizing the event and involving the local city government. Howie Nave took the time to bring both me and Tom on his show to get the word out about the event. To these people and all the others who played a part in the day, many, many thanks. Hopefully we’ll have the chance to do it again next year. Go Giants!
