Kudos & Kindness: Thank you for saving my dog’s life

On April 30, my dog Hooter was mauled by two pit bulls. I immediately drove Hooter to Sierra Veterinary Clinic. What was expected to be only a one-hour surgery turned into three. They truly didn’t believe he would pull through. They called it a “horrific mauling” and had they not known it was two pit bulls, they would have said it was a bear attack.

With nine drain tubes, antibiotics and pain medicine, they sent us home. The cost for the initial surgery and medicine was much more than I make in a month.

Hooter returned three times that week and two-to-three times a week for the next several weeks. All that was followed by a second surgery with the possibility of a third.

Financially, there was no way I could’ve saved my dog.

Once word got out of what happened, donations started pouring in. Because of you, my community, Sierra Veterinary Clinic was able to give Hooter the attention he needed.

My heart and deep gratitude go out to all those who have anonymously helped to save my dog.

Again, much Kudos & Kindness to all of you, without your donations and prayers, my boy Hooter would not be with me today.

God bless everyone.
