KUDOS & KINDNESS: Thanks for donations to orphans

Amanda Hammond / Submitted to the Tribune

I would like to thank the community of South Lake Tahoe for their generosity in donating to my supplies drive for the organization Rancho De Sus Ninos.

Rancho De Sus Ninos serves as an orphanage and a school for children in Tecate, Mexico.

During the supply drive, which ran from Sept. 8-19, I collected more than 1,000 items to bring to Rancho.

This included more than 150 sheets and towels, more than 400 bars of soap and more than 300 tubes of toothpaste.

I would especially like to thank The Howard Johnson, The Three Peaks Resort and The Stardust for making bulk donations of sheets towels and toiletries.

Also I would like to thank First Baptist Church for being my drop-off point.

Thank you all for making my drive successful.
