Kudos & Kindness: Thanks to those decorating power boxes

This letter is long overdue. I even started it once before.

I wish to extend Kudos to the group that has painted and decorated several of the power and equipment boxes that have sprung up like mushrooms throughout town. There are about a dozen on just the right hand side of Lake Tahoe Blvd. from the Stateline to Rufus Allen.

The ones I know of are the artificial rock covering a power box at Takela, also the two near the beautiful statue near Wildwood. I saw the group painting the Wildwood boxes. They looked like college students and had traffic control in place at the time. The rock climbing, bicycle, and windsurfing themes are appropriate and inoffensive. I have also seen some Dumpsters that have been decorated. Thanks to those volunteers.

If there is a way to help support an all out effort to improve the many many boxes springing up throughout the town I would be happy to help buy the paint.
