Kudos & Kindness: Vail Resorts’ skiing day opened students’ eyes to opportunities

Mount Tallac High School staff and students would like to thank Mike Allen, Vail Resorts and all the incredible employees of Heavenly Ski Resort for a great day of riding and skiing. As part of a grant we received this year from Vail, they added two days of skiing, lessons and rentals for our students. The students, some first-time skiers and riders, were given all the instruction they needed for a great experience. The ski instructors were all so positive and gave our students not only good instruction on the mountain, but a positive experience where the conversation at times led to talk of the future and opportunities in our community that our students did not know existed. In the words of one student today, “That was the best day of my life!” Vail, you are the best.
