KUDOS & KINDNESS: Yes, South Lake Tahoe, there is a Santa Claus

There really is a Santa Claus! On Tuesday my husband was working the late shift at Safeway on Johnson Boulevard. He was checking and at 11:30 p.m. he had a huge line of people to get checked out. Next thing he knew, a gentleman came up to the front of his line and put out a huge wad a bills on his check stand.

My husband asked, “What is this for?”

The gentleman (Santa Claus) said, “I am paying for everyone’s groceries here in line! Come on let’s get these people checked out.”

My husband did just that. The customers could not believe what this man was doing! They were crying and hugging this man. A woman said she had to come from a very long ways to get some over-the-counter medication for her son, and she did not know if she was going to have enough money, and then this man was there. She went away crying!

Miracles do happen! All this man kept saying was “Merry Christmas” to all the customers. We want to say a huge thank you to whoever you are, Santa. You made many people happy.
