To the editor:
Recently, I competed in the Miss Teenage California Scholarship Pageant 2001. I would like to express my appreciation to all my benefactors who supported me and made it possible for me to compete.
I had a wonderful time and learned a lot that weekend participating in the pageant. All along I kept thinking that I wouldn’t have been able to go if not for the assistance of many prominent businesses and good friends who believed in my ability to represent Tahoe in a California pageant. Thank you to all my sponsors and everyone who believed in me: various members of the Snight/Benjamin family, Ernie’s Coffee Shop, Sidestreet Boutique, Second String Consignment, The Fetish Nail Salon, Tahoe Gymnastics, Dr. Acevedo, Pazzaz Fashions, Head to Toe Hair Salon, Mrs. and Mrs. L.T. Leonard, Dr. Michael Lipkin and my parents, Kevin and Judy Snight. I was fortunate to find such kind people.
