Kudos: Thanks to friends in hard times

To the editor:

It is difficult to find the words we need to express such deep and humble gratitude. At first we purchased thank-you cards, but the calls of kindness, love and support kept coming. Soon our list of friends to respond to was enormous and our need for addresses overwhelming. We wanted to respond to all of you and this letter seemed to fill the need.

To everyone, and there are many, many of you, we’d like to say a most warm and heartfelt thank you. Pembroke made a very unfortunate mistake. He and our family are paying a very heavy price. But thanks to God and all of you, our true friends, we will get through this. We would love to name all of you who have supported us through this most trying time, but if we missed mentioning one of you it would be unforgivable to us.

What a special and terrific community we live in. The overwhelming number of offers of help and support have left us with tears in our eyes, lumps in our throats and undescribable gladness in our hearts. Please know how much your friendships mean to us. We love you all!

We look forward to many more happy years of sharing and giving to our community once we are on the other side of our situation. Once again we’d like to say thank you God and all our wonderful caring friends. God bless you all. Warm and humble thanks.

Pembroke and Tammy Gochnauer and children, John Napier, Jennifer Napier and Melissa Gochnauer.
