Kudos: Wine and Corned Beef combined for great fund-raiser

To the editor:

On behalf of the Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club I would like to thank our wonderful community for their continued support. Our 33rd annual St. Patrick’s Day Wine Tasting and Corned Beef Feed raised more than $30,000! Everyone had a great time for a great cause. All of the funds generated will be redistributed back to our community in the form of college scholarships and donations to nonprofit organizations.

Thanks to all of the local businesses for donating the fantastic prizes for our silent auction and drawing. The family of Embassy Suites Hotels deserves special recognition for donating more than 90 accommodation packages. Thanks to the Tahoe Daily Tribune, KRLT-FM, KOWL-AM, RSN and K-MTN TV for promoting the event. Most importantly, thanks to the local citizens for purchasing tickets and generously bidding on the silent auction. You proved once again that Lake Tahoe is the best place to live in the world.
