Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation getting active

The Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation has scheduled several events: Its annual membership drive will take place in March; “Our Community-Our Schools Food Fest” is scheduled for April 4 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe; the Celebration of Education will be May 29 at Harrah’s; and homecoming is slated for Oct. 3-4.
The Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation officers recently installed for 2008 are: John Upton, president; Chandler Monroe, vice president – finance; Chris Campion, vice president – membership; Bill Kingman, vice president – media; Kathy Southern, treasurer; and Cookie Rork, secretary.
Board of directors members newly inducted for three-year terms are: Debra McHugh, Paige Cefalu, Audrey Olmer and Pradip Patel. Finishing out their one- and two-year commitments on the board are Greg Bergner, Jerry Bindel, Abby Killebrew, Suzanne Kingsbury, Mark Lilly, Pedro Lopez, Brooke Olivares-Laine, Malcolm Pribyl and Susie Raby. Ex-officio board members are Wendy David, Del Laine and James Tarwater.
