Lake Tahoe Federal Advisory Committee meeting in Incline

The Lake Tahoe Basin Federal Advisory Committee will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at The Chateau in Incline Village.
The committee will address issues related to federal activities at Lake Tahoe, according to an LTFAC press release.
Items on the agenda include:
• Preparation for SNPLMA Round 11 Lake Tahoe and Hazardous Fuels and Wildfire Prevention category projects.
• Follow-up briefings from Round 10 including Erosion Control Grants and the TSC review process of SNPLMA Capital.
• Public comment will be taken on preparation for SNPLMA Round 11 projects and follow-up to Round 10 SNPLMA discussion.

LTFAC consists of 20 members representing many constituencies. The Secretary of Agriculture chartered the first LTFAC in July 1998 to advise the federal partnership on programs and projects within the Lake Tahoe Basin.
LTFAC’s charter has been renewed every two years with the most recent renewal occurring in August 2008.
