Lake Tahoe Historical Society presents free story hour

The current location of South Tahoe Middle School housed the seventh and eighth grades in the 1940s and expanded to include the high school until 1966.

The Lake Tahoe Historical Society will present a free children’s historical story hour at 10:30 a.m., Thursday. The program will take place at the Historical Society Museum, 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd., next to the South Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce.

Children ages 6 to 12 are welcome to attend the program at no charge, which will feature history of the Lake Tahoe Basin. They will also have an opportunity to visit the exhibits while at the museum.
