Lake Tahoe weather: Warm temps in store for MLK Weekend

LAKE TAHOE – Mild temperatures and perhaps some rain and fog are in the forecast for the Martin Luther King Weekend in Truckee/Tahoe, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.

High temperatures in the upper-40s to lower-50s are expected into Monday, before dipping a bit to the low- to -mid40s into the middle of next week.

Friday: Areas of freezing fog before 10 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 49. Calm wind.

Friday night: Patchy freezing fog after 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.

Saturday: Patchy freezing fog before 10 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 51. South wind around 5 mph becoming west.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. West wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. West wind around 10 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38.

MLK Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 47.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 33.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 28.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 42.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 39.
