Calling all dancers — for the first time ever, a dance convention is coming to Lake Tahoe’s South Shore. The experience allows intermediate and advanced dancers ages 6 and up the opportunity to learn from celebrity and local instructors in an encouraging environment.

“Prestige Productions presents ‘Prestige Dance Experience,’ an all-encompassing weekend of dance in beautiful Lake Tahoe, Nevada. While the Reno/Tahoe area is home to an incredible amount of dancer talent, the opportunities that come to our cities are limited,” states a press release from Prestige Productions.

Workshops at Prestige Dance Experience range from contemporary and jazz to funk, hip hop, locking and breaking and more.

“Our All-Star roster includes instructors from a variety of studios in the area, with many of them teaching at multiple locations — one instructor from Zephyr Cove, one from Truckee, one from Carson City and two from Reno. Los Angeles instructors Jojo Gomez and Kaelynn ‘KK’ Harris will be headlining the weekend. Their credits include Britney Spears, Usher, Ciara, LMFAO, Queen Latifah, Sade and Justin Bieber — to name a few,” states the release.

Drop-in classes begin at $30, but the complete two-day experience is offered at prices starting at $99.
