Last chance to sign up for youth soccer

Provided to the Tribune

With a final deadline quickly approaching, there is one last chance to sign your child up for the 2008 AYSO soccer season. Thursday will be a make-up registration day at the Lake Tahoe Unified School District office at 1021 Al Tahoe Blvd. from 6 to 8 p.m.

Registration will be for age groups U5, U6, U8, U10, U12 & U14. All players must be 4 years old by Aug. 1. U16 and U19 age groups can register up until Aug. 30; all others can register until May 31.

If you can not make the May 29 date, please call the AYSO at (530) 542-2562 and leave your name and phone number so that we may call you to make other arrangements.

Pre-register your child online at http://www.eayso.org. All players must still come to registration in person, even when signed up online, in order to present a birth certificate or passport and payment of $80. All previous players still must provide these items due to AYSO rules.

Parents: we need your help. Many volunteer opportunities are available. The soccer season is only as successful as the parents/volunteers help make it. Volunteering by all parents is expected. To do your part, contact volunteer coordinator Lynn Norton at lynn@hpfa.com or (530) 544-3039. Volunteers also may register online at http://www.eayso.org. Please mail signed volunteer forms to AYSO Region 282, P.O. Box 10518, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150.
