Last day of school for district set for June 23

The last day of the 2009-10 school year will be June 23, the Lake Tahoe Unified School District announced this week. The original date of June 21 was extended to account for two snow day closures. Graduation is set for June 18.

The first day of the 2010-11 school year will be Aug. 30.

Schools are already beginning the advance planning required to set up classes for next school year. Parents are advised to contact their child’s school if there are any changes in enrollment or an incoming kindergartner.

School calendars are also available online at http://www.ltusd.org.
