League sponsoring snowshoe hike

Get out your snowshoes. The League to Save Lake Tahoe is sponsoring an educational slide show presentation and snowshoe hike this week.

The two-hour hike is designed to teach people about animals in the basin and their natural habitat by identifying wildlife tracks.

California State Park Ranger Bob Burke will lead the slide show and the hike.



A bus will transport participants on Saturday from the League office to Sugar Pine State Park.

Binoculars, warm clothes, water and a snack are recommended.



No reservations are necessary except for big groups.

Those who are interested in the slide show should meet at the League office on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Snowshoes may be rented from Camp Richardson for $8, or International Discount Golf for $5. Snowshoes may be picked up Friday evening.
