Learn about bats this Thursday

Did you know a single bat can eat 600 insects or more in hour, and that only one in 1,000 will contract rabies?

Learn even more facts about the winged echolocators at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lake of the Sky Amphitheater during a presentation titled “Bats, Winged Fliers of the Night.”

Bat conservationist and rehabilitator Patricia Winters will present the program, which will include an audio-visual presentation and feature live bats of several species, and attendees will learn why bat populations are declining and what people can do to help.
