Learn computer basics

The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library will offer a free computer class from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 8 at the library, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd.

The course will introduce basic computer skills for the beginning computer user. Topics to be covered include fundamental computer terminology, open and closing programs, window navigation and introductory word processing.

To take part in the class, participants must have some experience using a computer mouse prior to the class session. A free mouse tutorial is available at the library.

Classes fill quickly, so reserve a spot today. The computer lab is closed to the public during classes.

The library is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It is closed Sunday and Monday.
