Lecture to discuss renewable resources

Dr. Kennel Touryan will discuss renewable resources Tuesday during a lecture at Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church.

Touryan graduated from Princeton University with a degree in aerospace sciences and has 15 years of research in alternative energy, 10 years in wind and solar energy technologies, was a professor of physics, astronomy and nuclear engineering and has done research and development in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. The presentation will discuss solar power, water, wind, waves and biomass.

The lecture, titled “Renewable energy resources for a sustainable future,” will take place from 7-8:30 at the church, 2733 Lake Tahoe Blvd. in South Lake Tahoe. It is a free event.
