Letter — Bread and Broth serves up meals

The Bread and Broth hot meal program recently served more than 200 Thanksgiving meals to the needy in our community. This special holiday meal and the weekly hot meals served every Monday at 4 p.m. are made possible with the very generous donations and continuous support from the community and local businesses.

Bread and Broth wishes to acknowledge and thank those who continually support and contribute to the program: STAGE for providing free transportation to our patrons; Raley’s, Safeway, Albertsons, Starbucks and Burger King for their generous contributions of food, beverages and paper supplies throughout the year; the people, businesses and service groups in our community who contribute endlessly; the many volunteers who give their time unselfishly; and lastly, Monsignor Wallace and St. Theresa Parish for supporting the program since its inception and for the use of the parish facilities to prepare and serve the meal.

We are fortunate to live in such a generous and caring community.
