Letter — Responding to the response

In response to the reader about my letter. She either did not read, understand or comprehend what it was really about.

I was in no way condoning drunk driving. I was speaking out about harassment and who and what the system works for.

My son’s first true DUI was not for alcohol, it was for marijuana. The other three were for a rear tail light not working, windows tinted too dark, and tailgating a highway patrolman who happened to be one block ahead of him.

Most of us would of been given a fix-it ticket or a traffic ticket. But my son was taking doctor prescibed meds that the police were aware of. He refused to take the test so automatically he is guilty and taken in for DUI. WRONG.

What it is all about hear and everywhere else is : If you have the name, the money, and the right connections you can do the CRIME. But if you don’t have the name, the money, or the right connections then you get to do the time.
