Letter — Santa delivers special gifts

For many year Kiwanis Sunrisers have been buying gifts and Santa has been delivering them to our special needs students in the infant-toddler-preschool programs as well as the elementary severely handicapped class of Lake Tahoe Unified School District. Their consideration and thoughtfulness of individual gifts make it a very special event for the children.

This year, due to power problems, Lake Tahoe Unified School District schools were closed the day Santa was to visit. However, wonderful gifts were delivered to the children on Jan. 8.

Special thanks to Steve Cook, who organized the effort and coordinated the buying of the gifts. We really appreciate the Kiwanis Club and their generosity.
