LETTER TO THE EDITOR: ‘Dishonest’ actions from a state agency

Re: “Problems at the D.M.V.,” where this individual received car registration late in the mail. I also received my registration late in the mail wanting more money than usual and a late fee.

The vehicle I am talking about is an old brush hauler, 1977 Ford truck. It doesn’t even get a thousand miles a year on it and there charging me $110 in penalties. My registration expired at the end of July. I got the notice of due Oct. 26, 2011.

The California Department of Motor Vehicles is totally dishonest, and this needs to be looked into. And who came up with this crooked idea?

They are reaping millions of dollars from defenseless persons who are unaware or simply unable to go up against this monster.

These state governments keep upping the fees and fines and penalties to extraordinary amounts of money. Yet they are crying bankrupt, out of money, not enough money, whatever. Get real California D.M.V. Stop ripping people off.

Should I start an occupy DMV movement?
