LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Graduation speech should not be translated
June 25, 2011
I am writing because my husband and I completely agree with the article Katherine Grasso submitted. We recently attended the high school graduations of two granddaughters. One was in Durham (next to Chico, Calif.) and the other in Livermore and no one spoke in Spanish. There were many Spanish-speaking parents, but the principals all spoke just in English.
