LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Keep your dog on a leash

To my neighbors in Meyers. I am the one who walks by your house every day with my dog on a leash when your dog runs out into the street barking and baring his teeth at my dog. Then I seem to hear the same old comments.

“He is friendly!”

No, he is not friendly, he is attacking my poor dog.

Or I hear this comment:

“I’m baby-sitting him!”

I don’t care whose dog it is; if it’s on your property, it’s your dog.

Let this be a warning, I’m done with dog aggression. If your dog attacks my dog and I try to tear them apart and get bit by either dog, you will pay for all the bills I incur, be it vet bills or doctor bills.

I will take you to court and your homeowner’s insurance can pay for my bill, raising your rates if they keep you on their policy. Call your insurance today as I have and see how strict they are with dog bites. I guarantee you will lose.

Please keep your dog off the streets when I walk by and all will be fine.
