LETTER TO THE EDITOR: ‘Pay me and I’ll talk’

That seemed to be the message from Gilberto Sencion Gonzalez, the elder brother of the Carson City shooter Eduardo Sencion. To begin with, this individual answered the phone of their market Lake Tahoe Mi Pueblo Market when the Reno Gazette Journal called saying he was the person who did the shooting. He later admitted it was not that person and knew about the shooting. That’s just the beginning.

After that, he declined to discuss if his brother had any mental health issues or was angry but then was able to make this comment:

“You guys (the media) are going to make a lot of money from this,” he said. “In order for me to give you more information you will have to pay me a lot of money too.” (taken from Reno Gazette Journal)

Personally, I’m at a loss of words that an individual will go right to thinking about getting paid somehow after he not only said he was Eduardo Sencion when answering the phone but says he doesn’t know if his brother had mental issues. I hope all the people that support his business look at the article from the RGJ and really debate about supporting someone that will outright lie when knowing about such a tragedy and then says they will talk for money.

You know who won’t pay for information Mr. Sencion? The FBI, ATF and local police agencies.
