LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Recommendation for psychiatric treatment, threatening a boycott

We just returned from our seventh consecutive Christmas week vacation at South Lake Tahoe. We rent a house in the Al Tahoe area every year. We host a lot of friends and family during the week and every one has a great time. Except this year.

Whoever decided to host the SnowGlobe concert should have their head examined. The volume was so loud that we could not even hear the TV in the rental home we get every year. There must have been a lot of calls since the police department had to call all the houses in the area to ask them to please not call us; we already know about the noise.

If you are having this event again I must say that we will not be coming back to Tahoe for another Christmas vacation. You should be considerate of the people in the area and hosting a concert that the volume is so loud that it is annoying a half-mile away is a very poor decision.

Next time why don’t the city planners that issued the permit have the concert in your own neighborhood so you can be kept up all night.
