Letter to the editor: This city needs more great leaders

“The board made a courageous and progressive decision at their retreat. They have decided to create a Government Affairs Committee,” Tahoe Chamber CEO B Gorman said recently at the organization’s annual retreat.

This recognition couldn’t be any more accurate. Holding city officials to the highest standards is critical and something the South Shore has needed for a long time.

Few things thrill me more than people who are great at what they do. Recognizing issues while creating solutions is paramount for this city to achieve what it deserves. Tahoe deserves greatness. Citizens truly need to pay attention to what’s happening around town. The city presently sits where it does due to such lack of accountability.

Anything short of greatness doesn’t deserve the power we entrust in the leaders making such important decisions for this community. Much respect and appreciation is due B Gorman … Thank you for bringing greatness to what you do! I’ll end my thoughts with the following quote from another person who’s leadership warranted the greatness he demonstrated throughout his life.

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Gandhi
