Letter to the editor: We need to preserve forest recreation

In response to the letter “We need an ecologically sensitive management plan,” I certainly did not request all these plans you are requesting. Who is “we” who wants all these things?

In fact, most of us that recreate on the land around Tahoe are quite content as is, without an eviction plan.

We need to stop spending our money on figuring out how we will not be able to roam the land. We do not need to evict people from our forest lands to have a happy forest.

The forest land mentioned, Dardanelles-Meiss, Freel Peak and Granite Chief, are beautiful as is and will do just fine without us spending lots of money figuring out how we can eliminate people from the land.

The river is already beautiful, why evict residents and nonresidents from usage?

We residents do not try creating plans that prevent nonresidents from driving your motor vehicle here to wander around in the forest.

We the people enjoy the forest, please move along and stop wasting oil typing all this fuss.
