The South Lake Tahoe Library is collecting donations for local organizations.

Items being collected include caps, mittens and scarves for Caps for Kids; food and unwrapped toys for Christmas Cheer; and children’s winter clothing for the Boys and Girls Club.

The Giving Tree is up, with names of children from CASA and Live Violence Free, is also up at the library. To buy a gift for a child, select a name from the tree, and buy what you would like from the list. Return the unwrapped gifts to the library with the child’s name attached.

All donations must be delivered to the South Lake Tahoe Library by Dec. 14.
