Library offers computer class

The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd., will offer a new computer class in January. Participants will learn to organize, manipulate and chart data and perform calculations using Excel 2000. Introduction to Spreadsheets using Excel 2000 will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 25 and from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 29.

Participants must be experienced using Microsoft Word to attend this class. The classes are free and students must register for them in advance. To register stop by the library or call (530) 573-3185 and ask for Lisa. Class size is lilmited to eight students, so reserve a spot today.

Beginning computer classes will also be given in Spanish. Classes are scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 8, 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 14, 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 22 and 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 29. To register for a Spanish computer class stop by or call the library and ask for Cecilia.



The computer lab is closed to the general public during the classes.
