Library to begin World Explorers’ Club

South Lake Tahoe Branch Library will host its first meeting of the World Explorers’ Club on Jan. 15.

The club is for children ages 10-14. Participants will meet monthly to learn about young people around the world, do activities and write letters to their pen pals. Club members will also have an opportunity to sample international food, help fight povery and create art projects.

The first meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the library, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd. in South Lake Tahoe. Future meetings will be held on the forth Tuesday of each month.
