Hit-making machine Lionel Richie is bringing his singular voice and extensive catalogue to Tahoe this weekend.

Richie, no stranger to the lake, is the next performance in the Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series at Harveys Outdoor Arena, where the singer has performed in the past.

An internationally recognized star, Richie is known for hits “Endless Love,” “Lady,” “All Night Long,” “Penny Lover,” “Stuck on You,” and “Say You, Say Me,” among others.

After successfully starting his career as a member of the iconic funk/soul band The Commodores, Richie set out on his own to form what would become an immensely successful solo career.

He has sold over 100 million albums worldwide, and his Facebook bio claims he is one of only two songwriters in history to achieve the honor of having No. 1 records for nine consecutive years.

A list of accolades provided by Harveys includes: an Oscar, a Golden Globe, four Grammy Awards, being named MusicCares Person of the Year in 2016 and a Kennedy Center honoree in 2017.

Richie has successfully blended the mediums of music, television and competition. He served alongside Katy Perry and Luke Bryan (a country star who performs at Harveys later this month) as a judge on the first two seasons of ABC’s reboot of “American Idol.”

Richie is set to perform at Harveys at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17. Tickets are available online at http://www.ticketmaster.com.
