Little League sign-ups and equipment sale today
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The South Tahoe National Little League is having a sign-up and an equipment sale from 6-7:30 p.m. March 2 at the South Tahoe Ice Rink. Boys and girls ages 41⁄2 to 12 are encouraged to join, learn and participate in the great sport of baseball. Bring the players original birth certificate. Cost for the program is $85 for ages 41⁄2 to 8 and $95 for ages 9 to 12. Gloves, bats, practice pants and other clothing apparel will be offered also.
Tryouts are also scheduled at Whittell High School gym at 7 p.m. March 10, or 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 12 at the South Tahoe High School gym. Players ages 9-12 who are not already on a major league team must attend one of these three tryouts. Sign-ups will be held on those dates also. Please arrive early for sign up.

Proposed insurance rules would give property owners access to wildfire risk score
Under new rules proposed by California’s insurance commissioner, home and business owners will have open access to their wildfire risk scores that companies use to determine rates and renew coverage.
