SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The South Tahoe boys baseball team faces a do-or-die playoff situation tonight in South Lake. The girls softball team ends their season at home against Sparks also.

On the baseball side, the Vikings will either be granted a two-day stay as a possible entry into the 2011 NIAA playoffs, or, be off to Reno this weekend for the final two games of the season.

Coming into South Lake tonight is one of the leagues best in Sparks High School. Leading the league heading into the final week, Sparks is assured a spot into next week’s playoff with a win tonight. South Tahoe needs to win tonight and then sweep Sparks in Reno this Saturday to earn a berth.
