Local author selected for last Writers Series event

Lake Tahoe Community College will host the last Writers Series event of the spring quarter on June 12 at 7 p.m. Local professor and poet June Saraceno and fiction writer Christopher Coake will be reading from their works in the LTCC Library.

Saraceno is the English program chair at Sierra Nevada College and the founding editor of the Sierra Nevada College Review. She has released two books in the last three years. “Altars of Ordinary Light” came out in 2007, her first full-length collection of poetry, and “Mean Girls Trip” came out in 2006.

Coake is working on a novel analyzing the history of a gold-mining town in Colorado.
