Local gardener to share tried-and-true tips

Local gardener Carolyn Meier will be appearing at the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the library conference room, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd.

Meier will share her tried-and-true tips for planning a garden, planting seeds and getting a head start to make the most of the short Tahoe growing season.

Meier has lived in Lake Tahoe for more then 50 years and is a life-long gardener who is always happy for the opportunity to share her passion with others.

The library is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
