Local graduates honored at U.C. Santa Barbara

Undergraduates from South Lake Tahoe were among the group of students named to the dean’s honor list at University of California, Santa Barbara for the fall 2009 quarter, the college announced this month. The honor is noted on the students’ permanent records and is earned by students with a 3.75 grade point average on a program of 12 or more graded units in the College of Letters and Science, or 3.50 in the College of Engineering.
The honored students include Michelle Lorraine Stamme, aquatic biology; Melissa Man-Har Kong, sociology; Jamie R. Morris, global studies; and Kevin Soule, film and media studies.
