The group, which is made up of drummer EJ Hixenbaugh, bassist Warren Martineau, vocalist Luis Rubio and guitarist Chris Paranzino, had its start back in 2014 and has steadily gained a following.
“We consist of up to five very dedicated members who have been in the music industry for 10-plus years. Taking Root sets a high standard for professionalism and integrity to the band. Our focus is to make our fans enjoy and have fun,” concludes the bio.
Taking Root draws inspiration from groups including The Wailers, Passafire, Iration, Rebelution, Pepper, Slightly Stoopid, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Police and more.
The band’s hometown gig is free to attend and there is no cover.
