Authorities ID Zephyr Heights man who crashed through garage
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who crashed a car through the back of his home’s garage and fell 80 feet to his death last Friday as Jeffrey Alan Davis, 55.
The sheriff’s office said Davis died as a result of blunt force trauma from the motor vehicle incident.
The incident remains under investigation in terms of what caused Davis’s vehicle to drive through the back of the garage at his home on the 600 block of Lookout Road in Zephyr Heights, the sheriff’s office said.
According to authorities, Davis was backing his vehicle into his garage shortly before noon when he drove through the back wall, fell approximately 80 feet and down an embankment before coming to rest against a tree.
