Children’s theater to present ‘Annie Jr.’

Tribune staff report

Sierra Tahoe Children’s Theater will present its production of “Annie Jr.” at South Tahoe High School on June 27.

The play will feature a cast of 54 children, ages 5 to 14, who participated in a two-week workshop in musical theater. All children were cast in the production.

“Annie Jr.” is a special adaptation for young performers and features several popular songs from the original Broadway production, including “Maybe,” “Tomorrow” and “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile.”

Performances are at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the high school’s TADA theater. There is no charge for admission.

Sierra Tahoe Children’s Theater is under the direction of Nannette Niven and Marcia Sarosik.
