Community asked for input on mental health services plan

El Dorado County’s Health and Human Services Agency is asking for public input on the 2014-15 Mental Health Services Plan Update.

The update provides information on current and new MHSA programs and budgets for the next three fiscal years.

Some of the plan’s components include prevention and early intervention; community services and support workforce education and training; and capital facilities and technology needs.

Written public comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. July 9. They can be sent by email to MHSA@edcgov.us or by mail to Health and Human Services Agency Mental Health Division, MHSA Project Team, 786 Pleasant Valley Road, Suite 201, Diamond Springs CA 95619.

The draft plan is available online at http://www.edcgov.us/mentalhealth/mhsa.aspx or by calling 530-621-6315.

El Dorado County’s Mental Health Commission will hold a public hearing after the 30-day comment period. The plan will be submitted to the Board of Supervisors for approval.
