The Board of Supervisors appoints the committee. Anyone who has received care through IHSS, a similar program or has provided care to someone after a serious illness, disability or surgery is welcome to apply, according the county.

Individuals who are interested can attend the next IHSS Advisory Committee on July 21 at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at the M.O.R.E. Facility, located at 399 Placerville Drive in Placerville.
