Kudos & Kindness: Good deed was inspiring

People who go out of their way to help others are inspirational! I happened upon South Tahoe Police Officer Mark Hounsell, who had stopped in at Saint Theresa Church to inquire about getting some food for a woman he had found who had not eaten for two or three days. Beverly Sass, Saint Theresa Church Secretary, was happy to assist with some of the donations that have been generously contributed to the Back Door Pantry by businesses and residents of South Lake Tahoe. The Back Door Pantry is open on Fridays from 3:15-4:30 p.m. to assist with food donations for people in need. It’s inspirational to see people go out of their way to help others.

Even though he preferred I not send anything to the paper, I would like to thank you, Officer Mark, for your act of kindness!
