Kudos & Kindness: Thanks for making ‘Blackbeard’ a success

Tahoe Arts Project recently had the Missoula Children’s Theater back in Tahoe for the 27th time! Fifty-seven children participated in the play “Blackbeard the Pirate” at Lake Tahoe Community College Duke Theater. The young actors did an incredible job rehearsing for only four days and performing in two sold-out productions. Auditions and two days of rehearsals were held at the South Tahoe Middle School Multi Purpose Room. Thank you to the Lake Tahoe Unified School District for providing us with the space. Thank you so much to Lake Tahoe Community College for allowing us to use the Duke Theater for this very special production. The children really enjoyed performing there. Thank you to Curt Munger for providing the technical support and for working so well with the children. Ed Wright at Tahoe Valley Lodge provided lodging for the Missoula Children’s Theater actors during their week long stay. A big thank you to Rose Campion for playing the piano for the play.

There were many people who volunteered the day of the show and your help was appreciated. Thank you to all the parents for sharing your children with us for the week and to the cast — you are all amazing! The Missoula Children’s Theater will be here again the week of Nov. 18-23 presenting the play “Robinson Crusoe.” Tahoe Arts Project is a nonprofit organization that brings cultural performing arts into the schools and community of South Lake Tahoe.
