Kudos & Kindness: Thanks for supporting our food drive
On behalf of the board and staff of the South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center, we would like to send a big “thank you to our community” for the food drive that took place in Bijou Elementary School. With the help from Bijou school staff, parents and students, our agency received canned food and other nonperishable foods for our basic needs food program. All the food that was dropped off at our center from this drive will go to families and people in our community that find themselves in need. Events like these help not only to feed those with empty cupboards, but also help youth and others become aware of the needs within our own town. For these reasons we thank our wonderful community who participated in this food drive.
